BUSINESS MATTERS: REPAINT STUDIOS
Repaint Studios was founded by Billie Asmus, a passionate DIYer with a game-changing idea. Frustrated by the plastic waste generated from painting projects, Billie created the Repaint Tray—a reusable paint tray with a lid designed to minimize plastic waste and keep paint fresh for weeks. We spent a day and a half capturing Billie's journey, warmly welcomed into her home for an intimate setting. During our time together, we also filmed heartwarming moments with her daughter, Riley, which we incorporated into the video. My aim was to seamlessly tell Billie's story through engaging visuals, avoiding traditional interview-style shots. From concept to completion, I'm honored to share Billie's inspiring story.
Repaint Studios is the recipient of Bank Iowa’s loan donation to The Iowa Center, an economic development organization dedicated to fostering the growth of Iowa communities, one small business at a time. The Iowa Center offers vital education and support to small businesses and entrepreneurs who may have been turned away by traditional banks. This partnership extends Bank Iowa's outreach to communities statewide.
